سيرلانكا تحدد الحد الأدنى للأجور

أعلن وزير التوظيف الخارجي السيرلانكي لصحيفة أخبار الخليج أنّ تمّ إقرار الحد الأدني للأجور للعمّال و العاملات السيرلنكيات ب250$، أي ما يعادل 918 درهم. و سيبدأ تنفيذ هذا القرار ابتداءاً من العام القادم. كما يجري التخطيط لتغطية العاملين بالتأمين الصحي.
يبلغ عدد العاملين السيرلنكيين في الخارج حوالي 1.5 مليون، بينهم 1 مليون امرأة. و قد أنشأت سيرلانكا مع بعض البلدان إتفاقيات مثل الأردن و دولة الإمارات.

Sri Lanka sets minimum wage for workers

Sri Lanka has set the minimum wage for citizens employed as domestic helpers overseas at $250 (about Dh918) per month said the Sri Lankan Minister of Foreign Employment Promotion and Welfare yesterday to Gulf News. He said that the new wage scale will come into effect beginning next year and there are also plans to introduce comprehensive insurance coverage.

There are about 1.5 million Sri Lankans working overseas of which a million are women.

Sri Lanka currently has a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the UAE and Jordan.

تدابير وقائية جديدة في مواقع إنشاء المباني المرتفعة

تمّ إقرار تدابير جديدة للسلامة في مواقع إنشاء المباني المرتفعة يوم الإثنين الماضي. و ذلك لحماية العمّال في حالة حصول حريق.
سيكون على المقاولين طلب شهادة عند وصولهم لإرتفاع 24 متر، و يجب أن يحصلوا على هذه الشهادة قبل وصول طول المبنى إلى 30 متراً. و تؤكد هذه الشهادة على تطبيق إجراءات السلامة من مهارب و وجود مراقبين و توفير الجو المناسب الخ.
و حسب جريدة الإمارات اليوم فإنّ (البيئة و الصحة و السلامة) أعطت المخالفين مهلة شهر لتعديل أوضاعهم.

New Safety Procedures in Construction Sites of High Buildings

New safety procedures in construction sites of high buildings have been approved last Monday to protect laborers in case of fire.

Constructors will be required to apply for certificates when reaching 24 meters, and are also required to obtain this certificate before the building's hight reaches 30 meters. This certificate ensures that safety procedures such as emergency exists, inspectors and appropriate conditions are applied.

Emarat Alyoum mentions that "Environment, Health & Safety" gave violators a period of one month to amend their conditions.
