4 مخالفين في رأس الخيمة

ذكرت وزارة العمل أنّ عدد المخالفين ل(منع العمل خلال فترة الظهيرة) هم 4 شركات في رأس الخيمة.

Labor Ministry announced that 4 companies violated the (midday break rule) in Ras Al Khaima.

إصابة بليغة لمشرف عمّال

أصيب مشرف للعمّال يعمل في موقع إنشائي في الفجيرة إصابة بليغة جداً إثر سقوط لوح كبير من الإسمنت عليه في الموقع. هبّ العمّال لإنقاذه و إتصلوا بالإسعاف. حالته جداً حرجة و في غيبوبة. يقول الأطباء أنّه سيكون مشلولاً و يحتاج إلى معجزة.

Workers Supervisor Severely Injured
A supervisor working in a construction site in Al Fujaira was severely injured due to the fall of a large cement board on him while on duty. The laborers were to his rescue and called in an ambulance. He is in a very critical condition and in a coma, and the doctors say he will be paralyzed and might need a miracle.

موقع الحريق في مخيم العمّال - جبل علي

في زيارة لموقع المخيم المنكوب، تمّ لقاء بعض العمّال الذين أكدوا أنّ عمّالاً من شركة (روبتس) قد فقدوا كل ما يملكون. و قد قالوا أنّ عدد العمال المتضررين يقارب ال1500 عامل نقلتهم الشركة إلى سكن في سينابور. و قال آخرون أنّ الشركة نقلتهم إلى أكثر من مكان .. و لا تعويضات.
عدد الكابينات المحروقة 10 ، عدد العمّال المتضررين 1500 حسب قول العمال ، و 1000 حسب الصحف.

In a visit to the destructed camp, a number of laborers assured us that workers from (Robots) had lost all their valuables, and that the company moved almost 1500 of the men to a camp in Sonapor. Some laborers said the company relocated them to several camps and offered no compensations whatsoever.

10 cabins were burnt to ashes, 1500 laborers were harmed, their colleagues say, 1000 as newspapers report.

حريق يلتهم سكنات و مقتنيات العمال في جبل علي

أكثر من 1000 عامل أصبحوا بلا مأوى بعد أن شبّ حريق في سكنهم الواقع في جبل علي البارحة صباحاً بينما كانوا في موقع إنشائي. الحريق هو الثالث من نوعه خلال سنتين في هذا المخيم الذي يضم قرابة ال3000 عامل. جميع مقتنيات العمّال بيما فيها رواتبهم إحترقت.

ذكرت صحيفة 7أيام أنّ الشركة ستعمل على توفير سكن آخر لهم في الشارقة .. و لكنها لم تعط أية تصريحات بخصوص إعطاء العمّال تعويضات.

Fire Destroys Labor Camp in Jebal Ali

More than 1000 workers have been left homeless after their accommodation in Jebal Ali was hit by a massive fire yesterday morning while there were in a construction site. The fire is the third of its kind within the past two years in the same camp, which houses nearly 3,000 labourers. All the men's valuables, including their salaries, were burnt to ashes. 7Days reports that the company intends to provide an alternative accommodation in Sharja. No information, however, was given regarding compensating these workers.

إستغلال و خداع 25 عامل

أوردت جريدة أخبار الخيلج تقريراً حول 25 عامل في عجمان تمّ إستحضارهم من الهند بوعود عمل برواتب عالية. قام بعض العمّال بالإستدانة، و قام آخرين ببيع أراضيهم للحصول على هذه الوظيفة، و التي تبيّن أنها في العراق. لم يعرف البعض بذلك.
ترك العملاء هؤلاء العمال بأوراق مزورة في غرفتين صغيرتين في عجمان مع 150 درهم للأكل و الماء. تدخلت منظمة إنسانية و زودتهم بالطعام و الماء و بعض الحاجيات الأساسية لتكفيهم مدة أسبوع.

25 Indian Men Deceived

Gulf News reported that 25 Indian laborers have fallen as victims of deception, after being flown from India to Ajman with promises of high pay. Some of the men had taken loans and others sold their lands in order to cover the cost of getting these jobs, which happened to be in Iraq, as some of them weren't aware of.
The agents left these laborers with fake documents in two small rooms in Ajman with 150 dhs for food and water. Valley of Love (VoL), a humanitarian organization,intervened to provide the men with food, water and some basic amenities to help sustain them for a week.

إضراب سينابور - ترحيل 24 عامل من الدولة

تمّ ترحيل 24 عامل إنشاء من العمّال الذين قاموا بالإضراب عن العمل في سينابور. حيث قام 500 عامل بالإضراب أواخر الشهر الماضي مطالبين برفع الرواتب. الشركة وافقت على زيادة في الرواتب، و لكن مقارنة بمطالب العمال (300 درهم)، تعتبر طفيفة (50 درهم).
يقول ماهر العبيد رئيس وحدة التفتيش في وزارة العمل لجريدة أخبار الخليج: يجب على العمّال أن يفهموا أنّ الإضراب لطلب زيادة في الرواتب هو مخالفة للقانون و معطل للإنتاج.

After their protest in Sonapor, 24 construction workers out of 500 were deported from the UAE. 500 workers had protested in Sonapor at the end of last month, demanding a pay raise. Their employing company agreed on meeting their demand. However, in comparison to what the laborers asked for (300 dhs), the 50 dhs increase is very minor.
Maher Al Obaid, head of Inspection Unit in the Ministry of Labor, announced that, "the workers need to understand that the strike demanding a pay rise is against the law and impedes production".

تدابير وقائية جديدة في مواقع إنشاء المباني المرتفعة

تمّ إقرار تدابير جديدة للسلامة في مواقع إنشاء المباني المرتفعة يوم الإثنين الماضي. و ذلك لحماية العمّال في حالة حصول حريق.
سيكون على المقاولين طلب شهادة عند وصولهم لإرتفاع 24 متر، و يجب أن يحصلوا على هذه الشهادة قبل وصول طول المبنى إلى 30 متراً. و تؤكد هذه الشهادة على تطبيق إجراءات السلامة من مهارب و وجود مراقبين و توفير الجو المناسب الخ.
و حسب جريدة الإمارات اليوم فإنّ (البيئة و الصحة و السلامة) أعطت المخالفين مهلة شهر لتعديل أوضاعهم.

New Safety Procedures in Construction Sites of High Buildings

New safety procedures in construction sites of high buildings have been approved last Monday to protect laborers in case of fire.

Constructors will be required to apply for certificates when reaching 24 meters, and are also required to obtain this certificate before the building's hight reaches 30 meters. This certificate ensures that safety procedures such as emergency exists, inspectors and appropriate conditions are applied.

Emarat Alyoum mentions that "Environment, Health & Safety" gave violators a period of one month to amend their conditions.

إحتجاج متواصل في سونابور

يتواصل إحتجاج عمال شركة إنشاء في سكنهم الواقع في سونابور لليوم الثالث على التوالي مطالبين برفع للأجور. العمال ال500 يتقاضون رواتب 500-700 درهم حسب أخبار الخليج. و قد صرّح ماهر العبيد رئيس وحدة التفتيش في وزارة العمل أنّهم يبحثون عن "المحرّضين" بين العمّال لتسفيرهم إلى بلادهم!

Continuing Protest in Sonapor

Laborers working in a construction company continue their protest in their residence in Sponapor, asking for a pay raise. Gulf News mentions that the 500 laborers' pay is 500-700 dhs. Maher Al Obaid, head of Inspection Unit in the Ministry of Labor, announced that they are in search of the inciters behind the laborers' protest in order to deport them.

تظاهرة ل600 عامل إلى شارع الشيخ زايد

تظاهر 600 عامل إنطلقوا من سكن العمّال في جبل علي إلى شارع الشيخ زايد و ذلك بسبب قرار الإدارة بإقتطاع 210 درهم (للطعام) من رواتبهم المقدرة ب470 درهم فقط! و جاء هذا القرار حسبما ذكرت أخبار الخليج بعد أن إنتقل هؤلاء العمّال من سكن في الشارقة إلى جبل علي. و لأنّ السكن الجديد لا يحوي على أماكن و معدات للطبخ، قررت الشركة إقتطاع مبلغ بدل خدمات الأكل!

600 Laborers Demonstrate to Sh. Zayed Road

600 laborers demonstrated from their labor camp in Jebal Ali to Sh. Zayed Road against their management's decision to deduct 210 dhs for meals out of their estimated 470 dhs only salaries. This rule, Gulf News mentions, has been imposed after the laborers moved from Sharja to the Jebal Ali labor camp. Since the new camp lacks cooking facilities, the company decided to deduct this amount of money for food services.
