وفاة 5 عمّال أثناء العمل في غضون أيام

الثلاثاء 23-10 : سقوط (رافعة ثابتة) من الطابق ال25 في ورشة بناء في منطقة (كورنيش البحيرة - الشارقة) مخلفةً قتيلين، أحدهما الموجود داخل الرافعة، و الثاني عامل كان يشرب الماء بالأسفل. منظر الحادثة كان مأساوياً.

الأحد 21-10 : مقتل عامل و جرح إثنين آخرين في إنهيار داخل خندق كانوا يعملون فيه في منطقة (القصيص - دبي).

السبت 20-10 : مقتل عاملين في إنهيار جدار عليهما في منطقة (ديرة - دبي).

مسؤول في شركة إنشاءات عقّب على ذلك بأنّ سبب الحوادث هي الثقة الزائدة بالنفس لدى البعض بالإضافة إلى إهمال خطوات السلامة.

5 Workers Face Death at Work Within Days

Tuesday 23 Oct: A crane toppled from the 25th floor of an under-construction building in the Buhaira Corniche area in Sharjah killing two workmen. One man sitting in the cab of the crane plummeted to the ground and died instantly. Another worker on the ground was crushed to death as he was drinking water below. The scene was described as "horrific" and "terrifying".

Sunday 21 Oct: One man was killed and two seriously injured after a trench they were working on in the Al Qusais area of Dubai collapsed on top.

Saturday 20 Oct: Two men were killed after a wall collapsed on them in Deira in Dubai.

Security Manager at the contracting and trading company said that negligence and overconfidence are the primary reasons for most accidents at work sites, along with ignoring safety procedures.
